A&E pulls plug on Benjamin Bratt drama ‘The Cleaner’

A&E will not renew “The Cleaner” for a third season, according to THR.com.
The news follows the recent cancellation of “The Beast,” a cop drama starring the late Patrick Swayze that was dropped after one season.
The decision to discontinue “The Cleaner” leaves A&E with no original scripted programming on the air. The show starred Benjamin Bratt as an “extreme interventionist.” The second season finished airing this month.
“The Cleaner” had been the first scripted drama A&E had produced in more than six years.
